Xu Yuanquan( từ nguyên tuyền; Hsü Yüan-ch'üan; c. 1885–1960) was aKuomintanggeneral. He was born in Huanggang,Hubei.An eyewitness to theWuchang Uprising,[3]he was a subordinate ofZhang Zongchangbefore joining theKuomintang.He was commander of the 48th Division of the Nationalist forces in 1930.[4]In 1933 he was commanding the Tenth Army, stationed inChangsha,and he was involved in theopiumtrade.[5]
