Xunwu County(simplified Chinese:Tầm ô huyện;traditional Chinese:Tầm ô huyện;pinyin:Xúnwū Xiàn) is acountyin the far south ofJiangxiprovince, People's Republic of China, bordering the provinces ofFujianto the east andGuangdongto the south. It is under the administration of theprefecture-level cityofGanzhou.
It was the focus ofMao Zedong's 1930 essayReport from Xunwuwhich surveyed conditions in the region and related them to Mao's developing theory of Chinese communism.[1]
