Early life[edit]

Gomes was born inBeberibe,Brazil to a Brazilian father and Swiss mother, and holds both nationalities. He moved from Brazil, to the Swiss townFlumsat the age of 4.^[1]

Career[edit]

Gomes began playing football locally in Flums, before moving to the academies ofSt. GallenandVaduz.^[1]Gomes made his professional debut withVaduzin a 2–0Swiss Super Leagueloss toFC St. Gallenon 20 January 2021.^[2]

On 26 July 2023,SC Chamannounced the signings of Yago Gomes and Elias Mesonero, both on a one-year contract.^[3]
