Yīduàn( nghĩa đoan ) was a 12th-centuryChinesemonk of theChan( thiền ) school ofBuddhism.
Yiduan is notable for the saying "Language is a sham, silence a lie, but beyond language and silence a road goes by" ( ngữ thị báng, tịch thị cuống, ngữ tịch hướng thượng hữu lộ tại ).[1]
