Prophecy(Japanese:Dư cáo phạm,Hepburn:Yokokuhan,lit. 'Advance Notice Crime')is a Japanesemangaseries written and illustrated byTetsuya Tsutsui.It was serialized inShueisha'sseinenmangamagazineJump Xfrom July 2011 to August 2013. A sequel, titledYokokuhan: The Copycat,was serialized in the same magazine from April to October 2014 and later transferred toWeekly Young Jump,where it ran from March to July 2015. Alive-actionfilm and a five-episodetelevision dramaadaptations premiered in 2015.

[edit]Published byShueisha,it was serialized inJump Xmagazine from July 25, 2011, to August 10, 2013,[2][3]and compiled into three volumes published from April 2012 to September 2013.[4][5]In North America, it was acquired byVerticalin September 2013.[6]It was also published in Brazil byEditora JBC[7]and in French byKi-oon.[8]
Aspin-offmanga, titledYokokuhan: The Copycat,and illustrated by Fumio Obata, started inJump Xon April 10, 2014.[9][10][11]With the magazine discontinuation on October 10, 2014,[12]the series moved toWeekly Young Jump,starting on March 11, 2015.[13][14]The manga finished on July 23, 2015.[15]Yokokuhan: The Copycat's three volumes were published between April 2015 and August 2015.[16][17]It was licensed in France by Ki-oon.[18]
A side-offlight noveltitledYokokuhan: The Chaserwas published on May 19, 2015.[19]

[edit]Alive-action filmadaptation, directed byYoshihiro Nakamura,was released on June 6, 2015.[24]Its North American premiere was held during theLA EigaFestin September 2015.[25]The film was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 4, 2015, by TC Entertainment.[26]

[edit]Under the title ofYokokuhan: The Pain(Dư cáo phạm -THE PAIN-),aJapanese television dramaran for five episodes onWowow[27]between June 7 to July 5, 2015.[citation needed]Supervised by the film director Yoshihiro Nakamura, it was directed by Nakamura himself, Katsutoshi Hirabayashi and Megumi Sawada, with episodes screenplayed by Tamio Hayashi and Hiroshi Tanaka.[28]It starredNoriyuki Higashiyamaand Erika Toda reprises her role from the film.[28]A soundtrack of the series was released on June 3, 2015, by Anchor Records, with all tracks composed by Takashi Omama, the drama's main composer.[28]All episodes were released on DVD and Blu-Ray on December 4, 2015, by TC Entertainment.[29]
Reception
[edit]Volume 3 reached the 45th place on the weeklyOriconmanga charts and, as of September 15, 2013, has sold 20,871 copies.[30]
OnAnime News Network,Rebecca Silverman gave volume 1 an overall grade of A−.[31]On manga-news.com, the series has a staff grade of 16 out of 20.[8]
The film earned¥199 million(US$1.6 million) on its opening weekend in Japan[32]and a total of¥553 million(US$4.48 million) so far.[33]
