This article is actually quite a mess. Just as a suggestion, someone would maybe use the French Wikipedia entry as a reference in improve it. Yuzz 23:36, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Location?

[edit]

Does Eurosport come from Germany? Back in analogue days the captions and some ad's where in German as well as English, and by around 2002/3 they became only German and then English audio broadcasts stopped totally - but this may have just been because this was on the Astra 1 system which was mainly used by German-speaking countries and the British Isles. But even now on Astra 2 there's still TV Shop in German after the channel closes every night. --Zilog Jones 09:27, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eurosport comes from France. And the analogue Eurosport International on Astra 1 still has English audio - you just need to change subcarriers, its usually the third. Why British Eurosport has German language TV shopping is a mystery though. --Kiand 11:30, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The UK version is based in the UK, though.

CL

[edit]

AFAIK Champions League is not on Eurosport

They show highlight packages, usually the day after.

Fair use rationale for Image:Eurosport2 logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Eurosport2 logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:52, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Eurosport Asia-Pacific

[edit]

Could the Eurosport articles be updated to include and reflect the 4th channel Eurosport Asia-Pacific (also known as Eurosport International) as its programming and time slots are entirely different from Eurosport/2/News which currently in the wiki pages Asia-Pacific is classified as the Eurosport main channel which is incorrect as you can see on there TV guide page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.109.252.43 (talk) 17:36, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eurosport In America

[edit]

Since the United States doesn't get Eurosport, there's a well known soccer goods retailer that uses the name (see www.soccer.com). Should this get any mention as a disambiguation note since the two are not related and someone may be looking for the American company?134.84.102.251 (talk) 01:07, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Then you may simply go on to create the page for the company, and add a disambiguation tag at the top of the article. Salt (talk) 07:42, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IPTV TPG

Verbot der Übertragung der Tour de France

[edit]

62.200.52.25 (talk) 15:09, 12 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
