Pure Dancewas aUKradio stationspecialising indance music.It broadcast ondigital satellite television,[1]and byInternet,inWindows Media,RealPlayerandmp3PRO.
Typical music includedtrance,hardcore,old skool, and the very latest straight from theclubs.The channel began falling silent for long periods of time in January 2006,[2]with its website and webstreams going offline. It was removed from the Sky EPG in March 2006 after having not transmitted any audio for over two weeks.

Sale of Pure Dance
[edit]In November 2005, Pure Dance was put up for sale[10]by its owners. It was claimed at the time that the station had "a regular audience of nearly one million listeners every month, primarily in the 16-30 year old age group".[11]
Legacy
[edit]In April 2024, aMixcloudpage was created, featuring a number of specialist music shows originally broadcast on Pure Dance in 2005.[12]
