Solomon Kiri(born 26 October 1972) is a New Zealand former professionalrugby leaguefootballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s for theAdelaide Ramsand theWestern Reds.

New Zealand

Kiri played for theCounties Manukau Heroesin the1994 Lion Red Cupbefore joining theAuckland Warriorsand playing for the Warriors Colts in the1995 Lion Red Cupgrand final.[1][2]Kiri also represented theNew Zealand Māori rugby league team[3]

Australia

In 1996 Kiri played for theWestern Reds,playing two first grade games for the club. Kiri joined the newAdelaide Ramsfranchise in the 1997Super League (Australia)competition. Kiri played in Adelaide's first ever match which was againstNorth Queenslandin round 1 atDairy Farmers Stadium.Kiri played ten times for the Rams in total.[4]

Later years

Kiri then returned to New Zealand and played for theOtahuhu Leopards.He representedAucklandand theNew Zealand Residentsin 2000.[5]Kiri was again selected forNew Zealand Māoribut did not make the team for theWorld Cup.
