WQME(98.7FM) is a non-commercialradio stationlicensedtoAnderson, Indiana,United States, serving theIndianapolisandMunciemedia markets.Owned by theEducational Media Foundation,the station broadcasts EMF'sAir1network, playingChristian worshipmusic. Listener donations support the station's expenses.
WQME previously aired a locally programmedChristian adult contemporaryformat branded as98.7 The Song.In December 2017,Anderson University,the owner, announced its intent to sell WQME.[2][3]
On May 31, 2018, the station ceased local programming, switching to theEducational Media Foundation'sAir1network. The university formally sold WQME to EMF outright on October 31, 2018. The sale was completed on November 30.[4][5][6]
On January 1, 2019 Air1 switched from its longtimeChristian CHR/Top 40format to a Christian worship format.
