Teochew woodcarving,orChaozhou woodcarving(Chinese:Triều Châu khắc gỗ;pinyin:Cháozhōumùdiāo), is a form of Chinesewood carvingoriginating from theTang dynasty.It is very popular inChaoshan,a region in the east ofGuangdong.TheTeochew peopleused a great deal of Teochew wood carving in their splendid buildings.
