The Democratic-Republican Party nominated State Supreme Court JusticeJoseph C. Yates.Theanti-Clintonianfaction nominated former U.S. representative and state assemblymanErastus Rootfor Lieutenant Governor. The Clintonian faction nominated Henry Huntington for Lieutenant Governor.
