- 28 January –Parliamentary electionsare held in the country. Despite receiving only the third highest number of votes, theProgressive Liberal Partyemerges as the largest party in Parliament with 40 of the 164 seats. Voter turnout is 42.7%.[1][2]

[edit]- 20 April – The Vazduhoplavatelno Otdelenie (roughly translated as Aviation Squad) is created. This was the earliest version of the modernBulgarian Air Force.[14]
