The1916Chesterby-electionfor the United Kingdom constituency was held on 29 February 1916. Theby-electionwas held due to the resignation of the incumbentConservativeMP,Robert Yerburgh.It was won by theConservativecandidateSir Owen Philipps,[1]who had previously been a Liberal MP. Phillips was unopposed.[citation needed]
