The2011South Asian Football Federation Championship,sponsored byKarbonn Mobilesand officially namedKarbonn SAFF Championship 2011,[1]was the 9th tournament of the SAFF Championship, which held inNew Delhi,India.
Venue[edit]
It was originally scheduled to take place inOrissa, India,[2]but was switched to New Delhi by the executive committee of theAll India Football Federationon 22 September.[3]
TheJawaharlal Nehru Stadiumin New Delhi was the main venue for the tournament. It is also the home stadium forIndia national football teamand hosted the2010 Commonwealth Games.

The draw ceremony took place on 2 November 2011 at New Delhi's Le Meridien Hotel was attended by a host of dignitaries includingAIFFGeneral Secretary Kushal Das,SAFFGeneral Secretary Alberto Colaco and Maldives Football Association General Secretary Shah Ismail.[4]
