The2011Wakefield Metropolitan District Councilelectiontook place on 5 May 2011 to elect members ofWakefield Metropolitan District CouncilinWest Yorkshire,England.One third of the council was up for election and theLabourparty stayed in overall control of the council with an increased majority.[1] After the election, the composition of the council was:
