Iga Świątekdefeated defending championAryna Sabalenkain a rematch of the previous year's final,[1]7–5, 4–6, 7–6(9–7)to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2024 Madrid Open. She saved three championship points en route to her ninthWTA 1000and 20th careerWTA Tourtitle.[2]
