77 Cetiis a single,[8]orange-huedstarlocated 489[1]light yearsaway in theequatorialconstellationofCetus.It is faintly visible to the naked eye, having anapparent visual magnitudeof 5.7.[2]This is anevolvedgiant starwith astellar classificationof K2 III.[3]It is radiating 187 times theSun's luminosityfrom itsphotosphereat aneffective temperatureof 4,206 K.[9]
