February 24–Charles VIII of Swedenis declared deposed. TheArchbishop of Sweden,Jöns Bengtsson Oxenstierna,and statesmanErik Axelsson Tottbecome co-regents ofSweden.The throne is then offered toChristian I of DenmarkandNorway.
