ATC code M04Antigout preparationsis a therapeutic subgroup of theAnatomical Therapeutic Chemical Classification System,a system of Alpha numeric codes developed by theWorld Health Organization(WHO) for the classification ofdrugsand other medical products.[1][2][3]Subgroup M04 is part of the anatomical groupMMusculo-skeletal system.[4]

Codes forveterinaryuse (ATCvet codes) can be created by placing the letter Q in front of the human ATC code: for example,QM04.[5]
National issues of the ATC classification may include additional codes not present in this list, which follows the WHO version.
