Abba of Jaffa(Hebrew:אַבָּא דְּמִן יָפוֹ,translit:Abba d'min Yafo) orAdda of Jaffa(אדא דמן יפו‎,translit:Adda d'min Yafo) was anamorawho lived inJaffa.[1]He is best known for his teaching that the 10 sons ofHamanshould be read in one breath during the recitation of theBook of EstheronPurim.[2]Ḥiyyawas his son according to theJerusalem Talmud[3]and his grandson according toGenesis Rabbah.[4]
