Abdirisak Khalif Ahmed(Somali:Cabdirisaaq Khaliif Axmed) is aSomalilandpolitician, who was formerly the speaker of Somaliland's Lower House of Parliament (House of Representatives).[1][2]He previously served as Somaliland'sMinister of Commerceduring theSiilaanyoadministration.[3]
During the2021 Somaliland parliamentary electionAbdirisak, from the main opposition partyWaddani,won the first round of voting with 42 votes, beating his competitorYasin Haji Mohamoud Hiiraka "Faratoon",from the rulingKulmiyeparty, who had 39 votes.[2]
In June 2023, Abdirisak resigned as the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representatives and joined theSSC-Khatumoadministration amidst a conflict inLas Anod.[4]
