Abu Zar Ghaffari

Abu Zar Ghaffari(Urdu:ابو ذر غفاریSindhi:ابو ذر غفاي) is a neighborhood in theKarachi Centraldistrict ofKarachi,Pakistan.It was previously administered as part ofNew Karachi Town,[1]which was disbanded in 2011.

There are several ethnic groups in Abu Zar Ghaffari includingMuhajirs,Sindhis,Punjabis,Kashmiris,Seraikis,Pakhtuns,Balochis,Memons,Bohras,Ismailis,etc. Over 99% of the population isMuslim.The population ofNew Karachi Townis estimated to be nearly one million.
