Adolfo Natalini(10 May 1941 – 23 January 2020) was anItalianarchitect.[1]

Biography[edit]

Natalini founded the architectural companySuperstudioin 1966 along with Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, Gian Piero Frassinelli, Alessandro and Roberto Magris, and Alessandro Poli.[2]

At the end of the 1970s, Natalini became a member of the Architectural School of Pistoia withRoberto Barni,Umberto Buscioni, and Gianni Ruffi. He was one of the pioneers of theradical architetturamovement of the 1960s and 70s. During this period, Natalini focused on projects inItalyand other parts ofEurope.

Natalini served as a professor of architecture at theUniversity of Florence.He was an honorary member of theAssociation of German Architects,theHonorary Fellowship of the American Institute of Architects,theAccademia delle Arti del Disegno,theAccademia di Belle Arti di Carrara,and theAccademia di San Luca.

Some of his projects include theRömerberginFrankfurt,theWestern WallinJerusalem,the Bank ofAlzate Brianza,theZola PredosaPower Center, and theSaalgasseHouse in Frankfurt.[3]

Natalini's works inFlorenceinclude the Teatro della Compagnia and theMuseo dell'Opera del Duomo.[4]

Adolfo Natalini died on 23 January 2020 at the age of 78.[5]
