Born inBarcelona,Catalonia,Bernabé was a youth product ofRCD Espanyol[4]andLa Masia,theFC Barcelonaacademy. He joinedManchester Cityin the summer of 2018.[5]An attacking midfielder, Bernabé joined the first team in pre-season playing againstBayern Munichand played in theEFL TrophyagainstShrewsbury Town.[6]On 25 September 2018, Bernabé came on as a late substitute in theEFL CupagainstOxford United,his first senior appearance for Manchester City.[7]Bernabé was released by City at the end of the 2020–21 season.

Parma

On 7 July 2021, Bernabé signed a three-year contract withSerie BclubParma.[8]Despite being sidelined upon his arrival due to an injury, which caused him to miss the first half of the season, Bernabé finally made his debut for Parma on 5 February 2022, in a league match againstBeneventoresulting in a 0–0 draw.[9]On 26 February, in a 4–0 league victory againstSPAL,he scored his first goal for the club.[10]As a crucial part of the team under managerGiuseppe Iachini,Bernabé stood out, even amidst the club's underwhelming season where they fell short of both direct promotion as well as promotion play-offs to the top division.[9][11]

Following another strongseasonwith Parma, in which they only failed promotion after losing in the play-offs, Bernabé signed a contract extension with the club until 2026, on 2 July 2023.[12]In 2024 he is promoted to Serie A with his team.
