Agriarctosis an extinctgenusofpandafrom the Middle to LateMiocene,approximately 8-18million years ago.This genus and itstype speciesA. gaaliwas established based on fossils fromHatvan,Hungary,andA. vighibased on fossils fromRózsaszentmárton.Miklós KretzoiproposedAgriarctoswas closely related withAgriotherium.Previously published,Ursavus deperetiwas assigned toAgriarctosby Kretzoi, but now proved to bepolyphyletic.[1][2]

Agriarctos beatrixwas published in 2011 as a new species ofAgriarctos.[3]It was later erected as a new genusKretzoiarctos,which was named after Kretzoi.[4]
