TheAjladwas aTurkictribe or clan. They were one of seven original tribes that made up theKimek confederation.They originated from theCentral Asian steppes.

The Ajlad were one of seven original tribes that made up the Kimek confederation, along with the Imur[1]/Imi,[2]Imak,[1][2]Tatar,Kipchak,BayandurandLanikaz.[3]The Kimek tribes originated in the Central Asian steppes and had migrated to the territory of present-dayKazakhstan.[1]The Ajlad, as part of the Kimek, were mentioned byGardizi.[4]
