Al Bayaneis a dailyfrancophone Moroccan newspaper.

History and profile

Al Bayanewas established in 1971.^[1]However, another report gives its foundation year as 1972.^[2]It is the media outlet of theParty of Progress and Socialismand has acommunistpolitical leaning.^[1]The publisher of the paper is Bayane SA.^[3]

Its sister publication isBayane Al Yaoume,anArabicdaily.^[4]From 1979 to 1985 theeditor-in-chiefwas Fahd Yata.^[5]

Its 2001 circulation was 5,000 copies.^[1]It was again 5,000 copies in 2003.^[2]
