Al Bayaneis a dailyfrancophoneMoroccannewspaper.

History and profile

Al Bayanewas established in 1971.[1]However, another report gives its foundation year as 1972.[2]It is the media outlet of theParty of Progress and Socialismand has acommunistpolitical leaning.[1]The publisher of the paper is Bayane SA.[3]

Its sister publication isBayane Al Yaoume,anArabicdaily.[4]From 1979 to 1985 theeditor-in-chiefwas Fahd Yata.[5]

Its 2001 circulation was 5,000 copies.[1]It was again 5,000 copies in 2003.[2]
