Albert Paulsen(bornAlbert Paulson;13 December 1925 inGuayaquil,Ecuador– 25 April 2004 inLos Angeles,California) was an Ecuadorian-American actor who appeared in many Americantelevisionseries beginning in the 1960s, playing characters primarily of European origin. A life member ofThe Actors Studio,[1]Paulsen won anEmmy Awardin 1964 for theBob Hope Presents the Chrysler TheatrepresentationOne Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich,an historical novel byAleksandr Solzhenitsyn.[2]Mr. Paulsen was a graduate of theNeighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatrestudying underSanford Meisner.Paulsen died of natural causes in Los Angeles, aged 78.[3]
