Albert Watson (academic)

The Rev.Albert Watson(December 1828 – 21 November 1904)[1]was anOxfordcollegeheadin the 19th century.[2]

Watson was born inAstley, Worcestershireand educated atBrasenose College, Oxford.[3]Aclassicist,he wasFellowof Brasenose from 1852 to 1886. He was aTutorfrom 1854 to 1867; a Lecturer from 1867 to 1870; andBursar from 1871 until his election as Principal of Brasenose[4]in 1886.[5]He resigned in 1889;[6]and died in 1904.
