Murgia made his debut for Lazio in the 2016–17 season on 17 September 2016 in a 3–0 home win overPescara.[1]He scored his first goal for the club on 23 October 2016 in a 2–2 away draw againstTorino.[2]

On 13 August 2017, Murgia scored the winning goal of theSupercoppa ItalianaagainstJuventuswith a final score of 3–2.[3]On 14 September, Murgia started in his first match in European competitions, and scored the match winner of a 3–2 away victory overVitessein Lazio's first match of the2017–18 UEFA Europa League.[4]
