TheAlexander Pushkin(Russian:Алекса́ндр Пу́шкин,IPA:[ɐlʲɪˈksandrˈpuʂkʲɪn];lit.'Alexander Pushkin') is a 320.65carat[1]colorless[2]rawdiamond,the second largestgem diamondever found inRussiaor the territory of the formerSoviet Union(after the26th Congress of the CPSU), and one of thelargest in the worldas of 2016. It was mined at theUdachnaya kimberlitic pipe(Yakutia,Far Eastern Federal District) in December 1989[3]and named after the world-famous Russian writerAlexander Pushkin.It is kept in the RussianDiamond Fund(Moscow Kremlin).[4]
