All in This Teais a 2007 documentary film co-directed byLes Blankand Gina Leibrecht, aboutChinese tea.It follows the AmericanteaconnoisseurDavid Lee Hoffmanas he travels to remote tea-growing areas ofChina.Hoffman attempts to interest Chinese tea growers and distributors infair tradeissues, and explores the importance ofterroirandorganic growing methodsin both the quality and future sustainability of the Chinese tea market.[1][2]

The film premiered at theSan Francisco International Film Festivalin 2007.[3]

The documentary was filmed with ahand-held cameraondigital videoand is 70 minutes in length.

Critical response

OnRotten Tomatoes,the film has a rating of 83%, based on 12 reviews, with an average rating of 7/10.[4]As well as entertainment ratings, All in This Tea has been subject to some praises of those in the industry as well as those in the academic world. For example, Kim Stanton, of theUniversity of North Texas Libraries,writing for the Educational Media Reviews Online writes that she "highly recommends" it for those with an interest forfood studies,anthropology,business studies,environmental scienceand studies onmodern China.[5]Les Blankand Gina Leibrecht are regularly praised for their passion on the subject.[6]
