Amarius Tyron Mims(born October 14, 2002) is an American professionalfootballoffensive tacklefor theCincinnati Bengalsof theNational Football League(NFL). He playedcollege footballfor theGeorgia Bulldogs,where he won consecutive national championships in2021and2022.Mims was selected by the Bengals in the first round of the2024 NFL draft.

Early life and high school

Mims was born on October 14, 2002, inCochran, Georgia.[1]He played football atBleckley County High Schooland was rated a five-star recruit before committed to playcollege footballfor theGeorgia Bulldogs.[2][3][4]

College career

Mims played in seven games as a freshman with the Bulldogs.[5]After the season, He entered the NCAA transfer portal, but ultimately decided to return to Georgia for his sophomore season.[6]Mims played in the first 12 games of his sophomore season as a reserve.[7]Following an injury to starting right tackleWarren McClendon,he started in the2022 Peach Bowland thenational championship.[8][9]Mims declared for the2024 NFL draftfollowing the 2023 season.[10]
