Amba Ghat[ˈɒːmbəgæt]is a mountain pass onRatnagiri-Kolhapurroad (NH 204) inMaharashtra,India, at a height of 2000 ft above sea-level,[1]Thisghatlies in theSahyadrimountain ranges (Western Ghats) and has picturesque mountain-scapes and a pleasant climate. It is situated nearShahuwadi,Kolhapur district,[2]and has nearby interesting places are Pawankhind andVishalgadfort. It is a convenient weekend destination forKolhapurtourists.

The area has also become a venue forparaglidingsport.[3]
