History and profile
[edit]Ameliawas started in 1995.[1][2]Amelia Adamois the founder and the firsteditor-in-chiefof the magazine,[3]which is part ofBonniermedia group.[4][5]The magazine is published by Bonnier Tidskrifter.[6][7]It targets women aged 25–45 years.[1][4][5]
Ameliais published on a biweekly basis, and its headquarters is in Stockholm.[1]Åsa Lundegård served as the editor-in-chief.[1][8]In May 2018 Kardin Nordin was named as the editor-in-chief of the magazine.[9]The website of the magazine was integrated into that ofExpressenin 2020.[10]
There are eight annual spinoffs of the magazine, includingAmelia Christmas,Amelia Baby,andAmelia Summer.[3]
Ameliawas named by theSwedish Magazine Publishers Associationas the magazine of the year in 1997.[11]
Circulation
[edit]The circulation ofAmeliain its first year, 1995, was 91,000 copies.[12]In 1998 its circulation rose to 119,000 copies[12]and 128,000 copies in 1999.[13]
In 2007, its circulation was 113,000 copies.[4]The magazine sold 90,000 copies in 2013[6]and 80,300 copies in 2014.[8]
