Andreevca(Moldovan CyrillicandRussian:Андреевка,romanized:Andreyevka;Ukrainian:Андріївка,romanized:Andriyivka) is a commune inTransnistria,Moldova.It is composed of three villages: Andreevca, Pîcalova (Пикалово, Пыкалово) and Șmalena (Шмалена).[1]It has since 1990 been administered as a part of the breakawayPridnestrovian Moldavian Republic(PMR). According to the 2004 census, the population of the village was 633 inhabitants, of which 38 (6%) were Moldovans (Romanians), 553 (87.36%) Ukrainians and 25 (3.94%) Russians.[2]
