Aralesis an order offlowering plants.[1]The name was used in theCronquist systemfor an order placed in subclassArecidae,circumscribed as (1981):

In the classification system ofDahlgrenthe Arales were in thesuperorderAriflorae (also called Aranae), but did not include Acoraceae as a separate family.[2]Instead,Acorus,its only genus, was included in the Araceae. Arales was the only order included in the Ariflorae.

TheAPG II systemelevates the first of these three families to become an orderAcoralesof its own (consisting of the single genus,Acorus) and unites the last two of these families into the one familyAraceaeassigning this to the orderAlismatales.
