There is only one known species,Aubregrinia taiensisnative toWest Africa(Ghana,Liberia,Ivory Coast).[2][6]
The genus name ofAubregriniais in honour of bothAndré AubrévilleandFrançois Pellegrin(Aubréville, Pellegrin).[7]
The species is listed as critically endangered.[1]
