Aushak(Pashto/Persian: اَشَک) is anAfghan dishmade ofpastadumplings filled withchives,with a (frequently meaty)tomato sauce,topped withyogurtand driedmint.[1][2]A time-consuming meal to prepare, it is usually served on holidays or at special gatherings.[3]It is similar tomantu,which is also popular in Afghanistan. In contrast to aushak, mantu have a meat filling.
