Auterive(French pronunciation:[otʁiv];Occitan:Autariba) is acommunein theHaute-Garonnedepartmentin southwesternFrance.Auterive stationhas rail connections to Toulouse, Foix and Latour-de-Carol. It is the seat (capital) of thecanton of Auterive.
Geography
[edit]The town lies on the eastern banks of theAriègeriver.
The commune is bordered by eleven other communes:GrépiacandLabruyère-Dorsato the north,Miremontto the northwest,Auragneto the northeast,Mauvaisinto the east,Cintegabelleto the southeast,Caujacto the south,MauressacandGrazacto the southwest, and finally byLagrâce-DieuandPuydanielto the west.
