Balat(Arabic:بلاط,also spelledBlat) is a village in northernSyrialocated west ofHomsin theHoms Governorate.According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics,Balat had a population of 574 in the 2004 census.[1]Its inhabitants are predominantlyGreek OrthodoxChristians.[2]The village has aGreek Orthodox Church.[3]
