Bandonbridgewas aconstituencyrepresented in theIrish House of Commonsuntil its abolition on 1 January 1801.

Borough[edit]

This constituency was aparliamentary boroughbased in the town ofBandoninCounty Cork.

Following theAct of Union 1800,the boroughretained one seatat the Union.

History[edit]

It was incorporated bycharterin 1613 with aProvost,12 Burgessesand freemen. It had aCorporation,the patron being Francis Bernard and the electorate consisted of 13 burgesses and 50 freemen. In thePatriot Parliamentof 1689 summoned byJames II,Bandonbridge was represented with two members.[1]
