Barsanais a historical town andnagar panchayatin theMathura districtof the state ofUttar Pradesh,India.[1]The town holds cultural and religious significance as the birthplace ofHindu goddessRadha,the chief consort ofKrishna.Barsana is situated in theBrajregion.[2]The main attraction of the town is the historicalRadha Rani Templewhich attracts huge number of devotees throughout the year.[3]

Barsana is an integral part of theKrishnapilgrimage circuit which also includesMathura,Vrindavan,Govardhan,KurukshetraandDwarka.
