The Belfast Gazetteis anewspaper of record(Government gazette) of theGovernment of the United Kingdom,along withThe London GazetteandThe Edinburgh Gazette.It is published byThe Stationery Office(TSO),[1]on behalf ofHis Majesty's Stationery Office(HMSO) inBelfast,Northern Ireland.[2]

The Belfast Gazettewas first published on 7 June 1921. Previously the same function was performed for the whole ofIrelandbyThe Dublin Gazette,but with thepartition of Ireland,a separate publication was required inNorthern Ireland.The Dublin Gazettenow continues in theRepublic of IrelandasIris Oifigiúil.[3]

Publication[edit]

The Belfast Gazetteis published once a week, on Monday,[4]and it includes official notices relating to matters of state,Parliament,theNorthern Ireland Executive,theNorthern Ireland Assembly,planning, transport, and public finance, as well asinsolvencyandbankruptcynotices.[4]
