Biography
[edit]Born inMiami,Baker grew up inCarol City,his father a professional musician, and his mother a church pianist.[1]He learned guitar and toured withBeBe & CeCe WinansandShirley Caesarin the 1980s.[1][2]He had always wanted to work as a producer, and began producing rap artists such as G-Shorties.[1]He went on to produce for artists such as The Rich Collective,Pitbull,Lil Wayne,Rick Ross,Jay-Z,Jennifer Lopez,andJamie Foxx.[1][2][3]
In 2006 he won the award for 'Songwriter of the Year' withMariah Careyat the 2006 BMI Urban Music Awards.[4]
