Theblack-eared oriole(Oriolus bouroensis), orBuru oriole,is a species ofbirdin the familyOriolidae.It is native toBuruisland.

Its naturalhabitatsare subtropical or tropical moist lowlandforests,subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moistmontane forests.

The black-eared oriole was originally described in the genusPhilemon.Until 2008, theTanimbar oriolewas classified as a subspecies of the black-eared oriole.[2]Some authorities have not yet recognized this split.[3]
