Abody orificeis any opening in the body of an animal.

In a typicalmammalianbody such as thehuman body,the external body orifices are:
- Thenostrils,forbreathingand the associated sense ofsmell
- Themouth,foreating,drinking,breathing, and vocalizations such asspeech
- Theear canals,for the sense ofhearing
- Thenasolacrimal ducts,to carry tears from thelacrimal sacinto thenasal cavity
- Theanus,fordefecation
- Theurinary meatus,forurinationin males and females andejaculationin males
- Infemales,thevagina,formenstruation,copulationandbirth
- Thenippleorifices
Other animals may have some other body orifices:
- cloaca,inbirds,reptiles,amphibians,and a few mammals
- siphoninmollusks,arthropods,and some other animals

Internal orifices include the orifices of the outflow tracts of the heart, between theheart valves.
