Thewhite-toothed brush mouse(Brassomys albidens), also known as thewhite-toothed melomysorwhite-toothed mouse,is a species ofrodentin the familyMuridae.[2]It is found only inWest Papua,Indonesia.[2][1]It is the only species in genusBrassomys.[2]Its naturalhabitatsare subtropical or tropical dryforestsand subtropical or tropical dry lowlandgrassland.

The species was initially described in genusMelomys,but was then placed in the genusCoccymys.[3]
