Leonard "Bubba" McDowell[1](born November 4, 1966) is anAmerican footballcoach and former player. He played professionally as asafetyfor seven seasons in theNational Football League(NFL) with theHouston OilersandCarolina Panthers.McDowell playedcollege footballat theUniversity of Miami.He was drafted by the Oilers in the third round of the1989 NFL draft.[2]
