Carl Linnaeus

Thebibliography of Carl Linnaeusincludes academic works about botany, zoology,nomenclatureandtaxonomywritten by the Swedish botanistCarl Linnaeus(1707–1778). Linnaeus laid the foundations for the modern scheme ofbinomial nomenclatureand is known as the father of modern taxonomy. His most famous works areSystema Naturaewhich is considered as the starting point for zoological nomenclature together withSpecies Plantarumwhich is internationally accepted as the beginning of modernbotanical nomenclature.
